![]() Imagine if this were your community…this is the most impactful video i’ve seen so far, unedited. thank you taku hirano for sharing. the cries as the wave finally reaches the road are universally understandable, and the unbelievable damage and loss of life is obvious. i couldnt help but get short of breath and cry out. please do what you can to help. seeing everything through a sterile electronic box in flashcut videobite pieces sometimes makes us numb and indifferent to the scale of suffering, love, beauty and chaos in our world and universe. if anything is to come of this disaster for the rest of the world, i hope we look around at the people in our lives and realize that it is THEY who make our lives and not the things we look after and covet. i often lose sight of that as i flounder and wander thinking im on my own… im only as ‘on my own’ as i make myself. imagine watching as everything you’ve ever known disappears in a matter of minutes… our senses of security and familiarity are absolute luxuries and complete illusions. any one of us could be on the other side of that electronic screen. what would you hope for from the rest of the world watching? take the opportunity to cherish someone today. seems to me that all we are is energy. how can love and hope not be physically palpable? good intentions may not manifest the universe, but it cant hurt to fill yourself with love, compassion and hope and send it out there in any way you can. maybe that sounds too new-age-y, but that sort of gushing energy certainly aint gonna happen if its not even on your radar to create it! what are your thoughts? text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to relief efforts for Japan One Response to “Imagine if this were your community…”Leave a Reply |

Wow…. this video is truly impressive and one of the most raw I have seen to date. Thank you so much for sharing Kevin – it speaks to the true power of the natural event that occurred, and just how much work there is ahead for Japan to rebuild, and how much help they will need from the rest of us!
