![]() Q & A on video #9 – what am i most proud of in my career?pride is an interesting concept. i think this says it best… “To know a man, observe how he wins his object, rather than how he loses it; for when we fail our pride supports us; when we succeed, it betrays us.” Charles Caleb Colton. winning objects blah blah, but the 2nd half is gold. the blade cuts both ways. when i speak of pride i think of what sustains me. when put in the context of work, often i find myself pushing away from ‘contentment’, ‘satisfaction’ and ‘pride’, for letting go of those in a gentle way allows me to move forward to strive for more. what is most important is where we are going and not where we’ve been. pride is even more present for me when overcoming the voices that tell you you cannot do something or simply by being your word with things you may not even want to do. case in point, i find pride in myself when i do the damn dishes, because i know how much i ABSOLUTELY HATE doing them by hand here in my new place lol. i overcome my disdain briefly, and my aversion to dish soap under my nails for long periods of time (don’t ask), and it is replaced with relaxation and ice cream (hey, rewards are important!). what are YOU proud of?
