my answer on video below is really about shedding fat, which is usually what i equate with staying in shape lol. besides diet, try to keep shocking your body and muscles by shaking up your routine and trying new things. make sure you stretch well to keep your muscles long. consistency in working out yields the best results over time, but not the same workout, keep it changing. find something active that you like to do and make that part of your routine. having fun while working out is the best way to keep yourself in shape in the long run. i prefer classes so my brain can check out a little, otherwise i find myself remembering my giant list of things to do in the middle of my workout and leave early to start on that list lol.
i wish i could just do my own program. i start cardio barre tomorrow, i want to see if my knee can handle it! off to dance class i go! one of these days i’ll do the p90x programs i have on my computer… i’ll make one of those funny fat ‘before’ pix, i’m feeling pretty schlumpy this week. i used to fight to keep weight on, now i have to watch myself to keep it off, but i’ve never been a diet nazi… but i’ve only been shredded a few times in my life, so figure out what you’re willing to sacrifice and why! more muscle you have, the more calories you burn!
