i had the honor of being on the runway for him twice and also sitting front row center between madonna’s legs when diana ross walked runway for him during his couture show, back when cindy crawford was still scorching the runway… as well as hanging at the beach, roller skating, working on music together and various fun moments outside the high fashion world. i can’t help but sing his praises and tell everyone you NEED to study this man’s work and sense of spectacle. you think McQueen came out of nowhere? Galliano? im happy to say he is now Thierry Mugler Edition, and making costumes for shows… including for cirque du soleil’s famous Zumanity opening.

here are just a few of the reasons why Thierry Mugler OWNED the 80s and 90s. one of my absolute favorite designers, an incredibly kind and sexy man. most of you younguns know him from his work with beyonce and lady gaga, but he is a fashion institution and the undisputed master of sexuality in fashion. he’s transformed himself now just as much as his clothes transformed others. its time the world remembers his contributions and honors him for the force of nature that he is.
